Over the past 47 years Centennial College has transformed itself from a local community college to a worldly institution with a presence in several emerging markets, including China, India, South Korea and the United Arab Emirates.

The education at Centennial college is without borders, because the world has changed, and so we. The college has been re-created and has a unique position in the marketplace and, in fact, the world. And it is now prepared for the next set of challenges: to be more innovative and entrepreneurial; to further exploit the benefits of technology; to creatively engage employees; to build more bridges with communities and employers; to see graduates doing meaningful work and have meaningful lives.

Centennial College is guided by policies and procedures that are instilled to protect the rights and responsibilities of all students, staff and faculty. The policies and procedures are reflective of the college's mission, vision and values and support the college's commitment to providing a supportive learning, teaching and working environment for all.

                      Key Performance Indictor (KPI) surveys are mandated by the Ontario government and have been used since 1998. The surveys are used to measure how the college is meeting the needs of students, graduates and employers. The Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities in collaboration with the Ontario Colleges have identified five measurements to be used as the Key Performance Indicators:

•          Graduate Employment
•          Graduate Satisfaction
•          Employer Satisfaction
•          Student Satisfaction
•          Graduation Rate

A common methodology has been used for the calculations for all program related information provided by all colleges:

•          The data is updated annually
•          An approved program sequence (APS) number is assigned to each approved program by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities

Centennial College recognizes the financial challenges many students face in pursuing post-secondary education and has implemented a number of bursaries (non-repayable funding) to assist them in meeting their financial obligations.

                   Centennial College offers a wide range of programs and courses for high school graduates, mature applicants, professionally trained individuals, and international students. From financial aid to registration, the campuses have numerous services and resources that will provide students with the information and support they need to facilitate their application in the college.

                   Good English, writing and reading comprehension skills are needed to succeed at college, Mathematics or science skills are must for some programs. Skills assessments ensure that new students are placed in the appropriate level of English and/or mathematics in their first semester of study.

                     Some programs require a Skills Assessment for Admission purposes, others require a skills Assessment for Placement purposes.
